Picton

Picton is a town at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. It is the the gateway to Marlborough region . It is a pleasant place to spend a few days as it serves as a convenient hub for exploring the beautiful Marlborough Sounds. Nearby activities include sailing, SCUBA diving, fishing, biking and hiking.
 
The “Interislander” is the name of the ferry service that offers daily ferry crossings across Cook Strait, linking New Zealand's North and South Islands.
